Violence in the Middle East can only be stopped after putting illegal arms dealers behind the bars

Tony Abi Saab, a Lebanese illegal arms dealer is risking lives of thousands of people in Syria by supplying contraband weapons to terror groups

The Gulf countries have shown some kind of resentment towards the influence of western countries on their politics and military. They have even disliked the presence of heavily armed foreign troops. But, is it safe to withdraw the US and other western countries’ troops from the conflict-land? No, it is, in fact, dangerous for the peace and stability of the whole world. If the US troops are withdrawn and the military assistance is not provided in the war-affected countries then terror groups will have full control over the regions and there might be a repeat of 9/11.

People like Tony Abi Saab will be extremely happy with the withdrawal of the US Army from Afghanistan and Syria because his illegal business of arms will skyrocket in the absence of the troops. Tony is a Lebanese business tycoon who is the owner of Brescia Middle East. It is an arms and weaponry dealing company located in Lebanon. BME was indicted for bribery, fraud, and money laundering. Tony Abi Saab was accused of running several ghost companies like Brixia, SIMAINT, K5 Global, Tactica Ltd Afghanistan, and G2Armory in war-torn countries and defrauding the US Army of 5 million dollars in contracts. With the withdrawal of troops, illegal arms dealers and contractors working in Afghanistan, Syria, and Iran might plan to expand their illicit businesses and fuel conflicts in vulnerable regions. Earlier they were restricted by the military forces--the free movement of contraband weapons were reported, criminals were held, and the peace-effort was in progress but now with the troops gone, these states will be vulnerable to criminal and illegal activities.

Tony Abi Saab has an alliance with many big European arms and weapons manufacturing companies. They are supporting his crime by supplying guns and weapons to BME, which is later rerouted to illegal destinations. The companies supporting the unethical and criminal activities of Tony Abi Saab are in Italy--ARMERIA AMELIO GAMBA Srl, INTESA SANPAOLO S.P.A., Benelli Armi, franchi division, Fiocchi munizione, Armeria brignoli silvio & c snc , BLS; in Germany-- Umarex gmbh & co KG; in France-- Noble france sa; in Turkey-- Osmanli Arms, ISTANBUL and KONYA, KOMANDO AV SAN TIC LTD, ATA Av tufekleri, in Bangladesh-- Emran arms; in Georgia-- Kula Ltd., Tiblisi; in Russia-- LOBASTOV IVAN, Baikal Ltd, Izhevsk city; in Bulgaria—Arsenal; in Czech Republic--MSN and CSG Group; in Ukraine--Berkut Ltd; in Brasil—Condor.

Although Tony’s company, BME is barred from doing any business in the US, he continues to get help from Europe and the Middle East. This shows the disagreement between Gulf countries and the US. Tony fearlessly trades in Europe and the Middle East. He supplies guns and weapons to Syria and Iran by faking the End User certificates. Most of the weapons are imported from the Italian firms, Beretta and Tanfoglio to Lebanon. The US Army had found out that one of Tony’s companies, Brixia produces spare parts for weapons and smuggle them to the countries occupied by the terrorists. Action is pending from the Afghanistan and Lebanon government’s end. The US has already arrested Tony in 2011 and presented him before the civil court of the US. But, due to the technicality in the circuit court, he wasn’t punished.
